The Old Town Hall of Pori illuminated in orange – the color carries a message – END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN NOW!

Old Town Hall of Pori will be bathed in orange light. The lights will go on on Thursday 25.11.2021 at 6 pm and the illuminated value building will stay lightened until Monday morning, November 29th. In connection with the lighting, a fanfare will be heard, played by Saara Tiusanen on the saxophone. There is also information about the campaign during the lighting. Enlightenment and Thursday’s event is organized by, in cooperation with Soroptimist International Pori, Zonta Club of Pori I and Zonta Club of Pori II. Against gender-based violence the campaign color is orange.

It has also been seen in Pori in previous years, among other things at market events and as statues dressed in orange scarves. With buildings illuminated in orange and other campaigns want to get people to ask: Why? And answering this question we can make violence against women visible and influential. The color orange symbolizes hope.
