Young people have been actively fighting gender norms and inequalities in the Asia-Pacific region. They are championing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights through a wide range of approaches. Despite their strong commitment to ending gendered violence, young people are often excluded from making key decisions about their bodies and choices. Through this session, young activists from IPPF, SheDecides and Frida Fund will discuss the role of collaborative action in the feminist movement across Asia-Pacific. The discussion from International Planned Parenthood Federation East & South East Asia and Oceania Region aims to enable an environment where youth can be meaningfully engaged and share their knowledge and experiences to build a collective response to prevent gender-based violence (GBV) in the region.
